New York Auto Show

The 2007 New York International Auto Show, runs April 6-15 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in mid-town Manhattan. The WheelsTV crews were on hand for one of the press days, April 5th. We had three crews shooting programming for WheelsTV and our clients in including Vehix, Comcast, AOL and MSN. The big news for WheelsTV is that we shot the very first features hosted by Vanessa Bee. Vanessa Bee loves hot cars and in the story that you can find here at WheelsTV and on other sites, including YouTube, she gives us a first-hand look at some very cool cars including the new V8 Hummer H3, the Nissan 350Z NISMO and the new V12 Ferrari Scaglietti where she interviewed Ferrari of North America's Marketing Director Attilio Ruffo. Check it out!
I also had a chance to chat with an old friend, Reeves Callaway. My son, Jay, and I interviewed Reeves way back in the early 90's when we were producing stories for my first big network series, Wild About Wheels. Back then, the twin turbo Corvette Sledgehammer was Reeves' hot ride. At the New York show he unveiled the new C16. The C16 is available with two supercharged engines: The 6.0L produces 560 bhp at 6,200 rpm and 529 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. The optional 616 HP Performance Package pumps out an astonishing 616 bhp and 582 lb-ft of torque, shooting the Cabrio from 0-to-60 in 3.5 seconds. Maximum speed of the C16 Cabrio is right around 200 mph with an amazingly good fuel efficiency rating of 18 city/28 highway.

The New York show was another exciting event for the Big Apple with some great new iron that promises more fun behind the wheel! Thanks and please drive safely,
Jim
